Hestia Carrow was very well known for her happy attitude and cheerfulness that everyone at her house often consider her to be an ill fit at times in slytherin. But they know very well that this witch had been sorted for her highly cunning mind and they know better than to irritate her out say something against her. While she may have been someone whose patience was a bit better than the rest of her house mates, she was no saint. Even she has her limits and at that moment the elder puff was beginning to make her feel irritated. With every word being spoken by him, she either wanted to face palm herself or smack him. "And why would you again assume that" she asked slowly growing tired of his words. In reality, she and Flora often try and up each other, but that was all in between them. But to the outside world they were together and would never bad mouth each other behind the others back. When he mentioned that he didn't mean to insult Flora, she raised a brow and said "well you did both, intentionally or unintentionally". And she would not even know if he was doing it all on purpose, may be he was expecting to get a raise from her? Or was he trying to find a weakness in her? We'll be ment try hard as almost everyone knows that it is her twin. And she was sure that he would've guessed it by now given the way she was not taking any sort of words against Flora.
Looking at the way her words caused him to become uncomfortable Hestia felt better that she could make him see her point of view. Just because she was a slytherin didn't mean that she was evil and just because one was not sorted to the house of snakes meant that they were all good in their intentions. "You were just judging me by my house, just like everyone else and the funny fact is that you didn't even know of me till date. But you're more than happy to categorize me" she said in a neutral voice. She wasn't angry at him out anything, just surprised with the way everyone seemed to think of those in her house. And she added "and Peter Pettigrew wasn't a Slytherin, and he was the worst of all. And Regulus Black was a slytherin and he was the bravest" she added just so that he would get what she was hinting at. After the war the story of the Potter family betrayal, the innocence of Sirius Black and the sacrifice of Regulus Black was all over the papers. It had been an eye opener for many to know the truth of those incidents. When he mentioned about her proving herself, she outright laughed at him and said "prove myself?? Oh Sweet Salazar you really are the craziest person I've ever met". Who did he think he was? And besides she didn't even feel the need to prove herself, no matter what everyone would. No matter how much she tried, people would always judge her for her last name and it was a wasted effort in her eyes, and if Hestia knew that there was no use for her, she wouldn't even attempt to do it. "Had it been anyone else in my position, we would've been dueling already" said Hestia pointing out the obvious fact to the elder puff. And was she going to hex him? She didn't think so, at least for now she added in her mind. "You're quite the judgemental type for someone in your house" said Hestia having observed him for the last few minutes.

Hestia could see his skepticism, but that did not falter her at all. After all she had grown up on the receiving end of such looks. While most of them were good give her looks at her last name, a few of them would doubt her because of her smiling face and care-free attitude. She wondered what made this puff to doubt her. She was pretty much used to it. The neice of the two well known death eaters was what Hestia was, and many expect her to just crackle madly and give out a wicked out out of nowhere and use the cruciatis or the imperious curse on them. That was the reputation her uncle and aunt had, and she was eternally thankful that the were both now in Azkaban, their chances of escaping the prison very much negligible due to the added security after the war. She was also the not so typical slytherin everyone sees and hears about. She has never been the type to hide her emotions or put on a bitchy face while talking to others. I fact she could not understand why people would be that way, and honestly speaking Hestia does not find the need to behave like a cold person when in reality she is not. Slytherin was not about being cold and distant, it was about being cunning and ambitious. Years and years of watching similar cold faced people would make people assume as though ever single person was the same. She nodded her head when he confirmed that her words were true when it came to his position on his quidditch team.
When he asked if Flora is his twin sister, she nodded her head and said "mhmm, she is"/. And when he actually picked and pulled apart her previous words of introduction, she frowned and said "well, Flora is no where near ugly, nor is she grumpy. Just because I introduced myself as cheerful and beautiful do not mean that she is the opposite". She wondered how dumb can he be? I mean did he even think through what he spoke out loud ? Had it been any other person in her place they would've seriously deemed him as stupid and had it been someone from her house, then they would've either hexed him by now, or they wouldn't have been even talking in the first place. "Flora and I get along really well" said Hestia her eyes glued on him as she tried to figure what he was trying to do. Was he trying to prove that she was not that good? or was he trying to use these words against her by telling it all to the world? But then again the whole school knew that there was no such thing as Hstia Carrow and Flora Carrow, it was always Hestia and Flora or the Carrow twins. They were always together and as someone had once said, 'they were attached to the hip'. And then there it was, the main reason why he was picking apart her words. 'Cheerful Slytherin' that was how she was viewed as and the way he meant it was very much similar to what everyone viewed her house as. And especially at this point, she would curse the blasted sorting hat for placing her in slytherin when she could've shone more in ravenclaw, where she truly belonged. Just because of her house, she was being judged harshly. "well let me be very clear Mr. Smith, not everyone in Slytherin are bad and not all of us love to pick on others and laugh at their expense." And when asked if she was trying to trick him, she actually glared at him as she said "not everyone of us are dark lord's in making, we are humans too and we too can be cheerful, if not for the fact that you judge us harshly."

And the person Hestia bumped into happened to be someone she recognized at once. Or at least she had recognized the person as someone she had seen while at school, and that was a bit better in her opinion to try and figure out who it was. She knew for sure that the guy was not someone from Slytherin as she practically knew everyone's faces and names whether or not she would get along with them was another thing. But given that most of the slytherins were pureblood and their names were often spoken at her home. So the guy had to be someone from the other three houses, and while Hestia was not someone who would keep tabs on people or such, at least she would not do it intentionally. But as a prefect she had to try he best to remember faces and she tried to place his face, she had recognized him as a Hufflepuff in her year above. What was his name? she thought with a slight frown, something which sounded along the lines of Zach..was it Zachary? or was it just Zach? And then she remembered that it was Zacharias, when she placed his face as someone in the quidditch team. Yup, Zacharias Smith was who the person was and she smiled back in his direction when she reassured her that she did not hurt him. Well given that the guy was someone who was in the qudditch team she knew that this small bump would not be a bother to him given that he would endure much worse on the game. She chuckled when he had voiced out her internal thoughts from moments before and she spoke up "well happy to know that".
While most would consider that Hestia would be oblivious of her surroundings, she actually would not be. Or at least she would not be unless she was left in her paradise. But rest of the times she was the type to carefully observe those whom she has a conversation with. And that was how she had picked up on the fact that the elder puff was eyeing her up and she just basked in the fact that she had caught his eye. Not that she was going to pick him on that and nor was she going to act on it. She would just enjoy it for that moment. When he referred to her as Flora, she shook her head with a sigh. She always wondered why people often found it difficult to tell her and her twin apart. Well they were twins, but they weren't identical. At least they were not copy paste twins, they had their differences. "I'm Hestia the prefect, the cheerful and beautiful twin" she said with a hint of smirk. She always loved this introduction. Take that Flora, she thought with a mental grin. And extending her hand forward she spoke up "nice meeting you. And you must be Zacharias right? the chaser of the puff team" she asked in a way of confirmation. There was no way that her information could be wrong, but she had to rub it in his face that she knew who he was. The slytherin brunette can be a bit petty at times.

Hestia happily skipped along her way through the busy streets of Diagon Alley. It was quite calming for her to see people going on about their lives as though nothing has ever happened and she was extremely happy for that. She gave a cheery bright smile to whomever she recognized or some times just because she felt like it. And she was never going to drag herself down with the sorrows and grief. It was the only the first week of her holidays and she was feeling restless. She was missing her friends and was trying hard to concentrate on getting herself prepared for the last year of her school and get along with the pestering idiot of a sister who is called as Flora. She was quite irritated that morning, and that was why she found herself in the busy place.
Hestia had selected the Diagon as it was known for it's busiest streets which always swarmed with life and some unknown serene magic and away from the muggle world, she added in her mind. While Hestia believed in none of the pureblood supremacy she however stays away from the muggle world when alone. Having been raised in the Wizarding world since her childhood made her oblivious to the workings of the muggle world and thus she never ventured into the place without someone in tow. And she knew that a trip to the London's most famous shopping street was on her to do list for that week as she had to buy the latest dresses for the season. She began to skip her way through the cobbled path and paused when she caught a glance of something. That something would not have been so important unless it was or new dress. And this time it happened to be a dress as she caught sight of the new season collection which was released a few days prior. She had not expected to find it on the window display of Twilfitt and Tattings this soon.
As if on a trance, Hessie's legs lead her into the shop and the moment she entered, she felt at peace. 'This is heaven' she thought as the smell of fabric which engulfed her. She slowly made her way through the crowds and unknowingly she bumped into some one hard. That brought her out of the trance and she instantly stepped away and without even looking at the person she began to apologize "I am so sorry. I did not see you. Did I hurt you?" She mentally smacked herself for being so lost that she did not even see where she was headed to. And she hoped to Merlin that the other person did not take any offense.
It was a quiet day at the Carrow home and Hestia was slowly going crazy staring at the walls of her room with nothing to do. While she had a plan for the next day, this particular day she had nothing and that was driving her insane. Her twin sister was out for the day doing Salazar knows what, not that she was keeping tabs or anything on her twin. The brunette always liked to keep herself occupied with some work and deciding that staying in their manor would not achieve it at all she began to get ready so as to head out. She chose Godric's Hollow as that place would be filled with people with whom she can talk to and they would be someone who wouldn't recognize her. She always liked to have a little adventure even while doing the simplest of things. Dressing in a simple white top which was tucked partially into her jeans she braided her hair till the end and adding a pair of sunglasses she deemed herself pretty to be out in the open.
Apparating with her house elf Hestia took her time to regain herself well enough. No matter what anyone says, Apparation always irritated her with the way it made her feel. She decided to stick to floo while returning back, as she made her way down the road of Godric's Hollow hoping to run into someone. It had been mere moments in to her walk when she spotted a familiar red haired witch. Savannah Campbell the Gryffindor girl in her year. And while they weren't the best of friends, these two has definitely shared a lot of classes to know each other. And now and like a bear time to her to know the other girl and this she called out to her. "Hey there Savannah" was the first thing that came out of the brunette's mouth the moment she was nearer to her. The redhead girl was a beautiful witch and there had been a few times when Hestia wanted to be like Savannah. The one everyone looked at, but in the end she just gave up on that thought. Hestia realised that she was better on her own and didn't need anything else. She came to know that being beautiful was not the only thing that matters in life. And in fact she feels a bit bad for the other witch who had to endure those lustful stars as well as the jealous filled looks. As long as the witch stays away from Theo, Hestia wouldn't mind her at all. In fact who knows, may be they could grow to like each others company.

PERSONALITY
Stealthy : Hestia is someone you would call as the calm bird. Her presence will not be known to the others in the room unless she decides to speak up or make herself known. She is type to blend in easily and go unnoticed when needed. stubborn : Hessie has her moments in life when all she cares about is what she wants. she will argue with everyone and anyone to get what she wants and until she gets it she will not be at peace. She likes to have the last word and say in things and does not like it when people try to correct her, especially those she does not like. self-obsessed : suffice to say Hestia only cares about herself. it is always 'me,me,myself, I' for her and many a times that attitude infuriates others. that was also why she had chosen to flee the battle because she cared for her life and not even stayed back to help the others and those who were fighting. Picky : Hestia is absolutely picky in nature. be it her choice in dresses, or her choice in food or the books she reads to the people she associates with. She is very much choosy and only selects someone/thing if she knows that it will benefit her somehow. but that does not mean that she pushes the others away from her, but you can see the subtle differences in her character when she associates with those she does not like. Intelligent : if there was one thing Hestia prides herself in, then it is her intelligence. she is the perfect ravenclaw who was mis-sorted to slytherin and she still thinks that the house of raven could've been a better place for her than the Slytherin house has ever been. Enigmatic - Hestia at first is very much difficult to interpret or understand. her behavior is very much mysterious that it is relatively difficult to guess her true intentions unless she voices them out loud. Optimistic - an eternal optimist is what Hestia is. when she believes in something she wishes for it to come true no matter how far-fetched it might be. she likes to think that there is no wrong in dreaming and hoping for something in life.
amortentia : roses, vanilla, and the cologne of Theo Nott (she does not know it yet)
boggart : she would see her twin sister's dead body. As much as she butts head with her sister, her dying would be something Hestia fears a lot.
miror of erised : to be married to Theo Nott and have cute children to dote on
patronus : animal- corporeal or not
why that animal?.

Being the oldest sibling is never an easy task and to a twin sister, it is much more difficult than one can imagine. you constantly feel like a third parent, and you're sort of treated as such. being the eldest by only 30 minutes wasn't so torturous, though. but when it came down to sharing, Hestia was always the willing one. but at the end of the day, Hestia and Flora seemed to get the same kind of treatment growing up from her mother though it was different when it came down to her father. he always took Flora's side even when she was at wrong, and his reason was nothing though she suspects that their looks were what made him favor Flora. after all her twin was said to be a carbon copy of their paternal grandmother whom her father loved a lot. granted he did not know that Hestia always pulled the "well, i'm older" card when it came to things like who got the last chocolate frog or who got to upgrade their broom first and all such things, which mattered. winning arguments and looking good before her father never mattered to her, Hestia always aimed for the much better catch. she was always pretty sneaky as a child and it grew with age. she is very much keen on making life easy for herself no matter the cost. she always loved knowledge and did nothing but read as a young girl. she was obsessed with learning and through the years, she realized it wasn't just about knowledge. she expanded her intelligence to things like common sense; something she realized very few people had nowadays. she used this to her advantage, though. she was quite disrespectful to her father since a young age, but what teenage girl didn't resent their parents at some point? just like with everything else, Hestia managed to take it to the extreme a few times and hexes and curses were hurled back and forth in the family home. but there was one other thing apart fro studying hestia liked, it was fashion. Given that her mother worked a designer in one of the wizarding boutiques, Hestia formed an instant liking to it. she always had a keen eye for detail and thus helped out her mother a lot as she learned all about dressing up well.
life at Hogwarts :
while she had always prided herself for being intelligent, the sorting hat decided that she was more sneaky and ambitious than intelligence, and sent her to Slytherin ,the one house she hoped not to be sorted in to. with those damn three lurking around and trying to stir up some trouble for themselves, Hestia often found it hard to focus on her schoolwork. how was she expected to excel? Her very first year at Hogwarts was disrupted by the rumors about the chamber of secrets and she was among those who actually owled her parents and even her grandparents to know about the legendary place which was associated with her house. it would come as a surprise to many, that she was among those in her school who thought that she was wrongly placed in her house, not that others would agree True she was talkative and social and a caring person to core, but the very same Hestia can hex you if you irritate her or she would probably slip some potions just because you disagreed with her. she was absolutely unhappy with the number of dementors the castle had played host to in her second year. which crazy ass person thought that it was a great idea to have them around children. but that year she especially felt bad for Potter, the poor guy seemed to have bad luck written on his fate that year. But in the end as she always believes, something good happens after all.
Her third year was disrupted for the most part because of the tri-wizard tournament. she was among those in her house who did not taunt Harry nor did she ignore him. She just supported both of the Hogwarts champions and in fact at Cedric's death she felt herself crying. Hestia may have had a cute little crush on that guy and his death caused her some sadness. Not more than his girl-friend of course, but enough that the girl never even thought of guys or may be she only thought of one guy. she purposely exiled foolish little puberty-driven boys out of her life so that she can concentrate more on the guy she has a crush on. Hestia would never admit it, unless under a veritaserum of course, but she has a crush on one Theo Nott an year senior to her though she never acted on it, nor is she going to. she would probably make him come for her or plan for a betrothal talk between the two families.
As she entered her fifth year, the chaos came in the name of one Dolores Umbridge, whom she dubbed as pink witch taking inspiration from the muggle villain, the green witch.Despite popular belief, not all slytherins thought like her and Hestia was one such example. Hestia was raised to respect everyone around her with respect and equality. and thus she never liked the way the pink witch behaved. nor did she like her dressing sense of course. I mean who would wear a pink cardigan over a pink blouse and pink skirt. that was the biggest and epic fashion fail the wizarding world has ever seen in her opinion. that was the first among the many reasons why she hated that pink witch.
the war and after math :
Hestia finally had a chance to show her alliance. she was never afraid to voice her opinion while studying at hogwarts, but her time there as a student became agonizing when the war was on them. being a good student meant that no administration had any real reason to come down on her. the war was practically a gift to Hestia and all purebloods as she liked to think. yes, some people took the wrong side, but most of them died as a result of it. she was never in the forefront of the fighting, though. Hestia considered herself tough to the core, but she had never been faced with death right under her nose and as distant as she liked to claim she was from everyone, she did definitely make relationships with a few people and the war scared her. she had taken Potter's side. her family had been on the dark side, or at least her father's siblings were, but this time around they knew that a decision had to be made for them to get through and Hestia took her own. She did not want anything to do with the dark lord and the dark arts. all she wanted was peace and happiness she had as a kid. and that was because a certain dark lord had been absent from the world and her crazy aunt and uncle were in Azkaban. but instead of staying and fighting alongside her year mates, she chose to escape the battle, a decision she still regrets not that she would do it any different given another chance. After the war was won and the dark lord defeated, Hestia happily returned back to school and have some sense of normalcy back in her life.
