Brews and Stews is a combination hotel for travelling wizards and seafood restaurant located in Carkitt Market. It was founded sometime prior to 1598.

The Parlour is a small shop with places to sit down inside, and a small area outside with a bunch of tables and chairs. Inside, there can be found lots of colourful ice-cream on display

Flourish and Blotts Bookseller is a bookshop in Carkitt Market. Established in 1454, it is where most Hogwarts students purchase their schoolbooks.

The Owl Post Office is the equivalent to a Muggle post office, but with owls delivering the letters. The owls are colour-coded for short distances and long distances, and also for how fast one wants the letter to be delivered. The Owl Post Office is used by those who do not have an owl, or do not have contact with one.

The Hopping Pot is a wizarding pub in Carkitt Market, located by a Blacksmith shop. Their wares included Butterbeer, Tongue Tying Lemon Squash, Otter's Fizzy Orange Juice, Fishy Green Ale, Peachtree Fizzing Tea, Pumpkin Juice, Gillywater, Wizard's Brew, Dragon Scale and draught beer
